I believe healing comes when we have people in our lives who hold space for us, allow us to show vulnerability, offer hope, and encouragement. I believe that we can manage almost anything if we have people in our lives to walk with us through the insurmountable circumstances that come our way.
I believe many of the world’s problems exist because of relationship and communication failures. I believe that healing cannot happen without fully acknowledging what hurts, who hurt us, and how it’s impacted our lives. I believe that we should all find our voice and live in our own truth—- whatever that might be.
As your therapist, I will help you navigate difficult life circumstances and become what you aspire to be. I am here to help you reach your goals, elevate your thinking, abilities, and to overcome life’s challenges. We will give voice to the parts of our lives that don’t make sense or seem unfair. I will be with you as you learn to heal, breathe, release the past, break free from what holds you back.
This may not come as a surprise but there is no magic wand approach to feeling better. No quick fix. No overnight miracle potion. My approach to therapy is handled with patience, gentleness, and genuineness. We will take baby steps as we work to answer questions and find solutions. True healing takes time, commitment, energy, humility, and awareness. It’s not easy but it’s so worth it.
“Pain is important: how we evade it, how we succumb to it, how we deal with it, how we transcend it.”
― Audre Lorde
Who Am I?
I am the owner of Ascension Growth Center, PLLC. I’m also an Air Force veteran and spouse with more than twenty years of working with the military community.
In my spare time I enjoy eating sushi, binging on Netflix, and doing anything that involves music and laughter. I adhere to a blended therapeutic process that includes trauma-informed techniques. I assist my clients in understanding trauma and improving their relationships.
Clients will learn new coping skills to improve their ability to function at work, home, and school. I help my clients to recapture their joy. I have experience working with children, families, individuals in outpatient therapy, school-based therapy, intensive in-home therapy, and family-centered treatment. I have an array of experience working with helping professionals, veterans, at-risk youth, LGBTQ, and elderly.
Tell me your story and let’s work together to see how I can support you!
