Therapy for Caregivers and Helping Professionals
At times you feel overwhelmed by the number of people who depend on you and the long list of responsibilities that rests on your shoulders. You have a big heart and everyone calls you when they need something. You are the reliable one, the go-to person, mentor, sister, and friend everyone depends on for something.
As much as you love your friends, family, and job— you are depleted. While placing everyone’s needs first, you’ve put yourself last. You wonder who is there for you when you need someone. You have reached your breaking point due to the daily stress. You’ve become resentful and ask yourself, “How did I get here?”
The responsibilities that you once enjoyed have now taken a toll on your physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health. You are ready to make your life a priority. You are ready to learn work-life balance. You are ready to set healthy boundaries with others. You are ready to take care of YOU.

I have more than two decades of experience with the Air Force as a veteran, contractor, and spouse. I understand the difficulties of managing work and home responsibilities, family, relocations, difficulties building personal and professional relationships, and acclimating to an ever-changing environment. It is often distressing for families to acclimate to various cultures whether near metropolitan cities, overseas, or rural communities. At times, duty stations may not have the resources to meet the needs of you and your family. This can bring an overwhelming amount of stress. As a contractor, I am all too familiar with the changing military priorities and budget constraints that impact job security, income, benefits, and chain of command. I specialize in working with members of the military community who are balancing the challenges that come with military lifestyle while also coping with the impact of childhood trauma. While while we work to heal from scars left by child abuse and/or abandonment I can also help you manage stress, anxiety, and depression as it relates to the following:
- Retirement/Separation transition
- Promotion/Rank pressure
- Workplace harassment/bullying
- Sexual assault
- Family stress
- Workplace burnout
